RIBA CPD Roadshow

The RIBA CPD Providers Network is taking a series of seminars on the road to bring the latest thinking in construction technologies and best practise directly to architects around the country.

RIBA London is hosting the last in the RIBA CPD Roadshow series on 29^th November at etc.venues Liverpool St – Norton Folgate, Bishopsgate Court, 4-12 Norton Folgate, E1 6DQ. The day will provide architects with a unique opportunity to learn from a wide range of CPD Providers delivering a variety of RIBA-approved CPD seminars all on one day.

In fact, there will be five sessions throughout the day with five seminars per session –totalling 25 different seminars to choose from! Richard Yanez, Flowcrete UK’s London Commercial Specification Manager, will be presenting the CPD, entitled Specifying Seamless Resin Terrazzo, from 13:45 – 14:45. During the session, attendees will:

• Learn the history and origins of terrazzo
• Discover the characteristics of seamless resin terrazzo flooring and how it compares to terrazzo tiles
• Understand the specification criteria and the benefits of this popular flooring material
• Identify appropriate cleaning methods to ensure a prolonged life span
• Recognise the life cycle costs and cost analysis of seamless resin terrazzo systems

This flooring material allows architects to consider the floor area as one giant canvas on which to create bespoke works of art. Thanks to its paint-by-numbers application method, entirely unique patterns can be applied across the floor area in crisp, glittering colours. Even the light reflective aggregates within the floor can be tailored to achieve the precise shimmer and shine that’s required.
