Get Inspired with Material Lab at the Surface & Materials Show

Flowcrete UK will be attending this year’s Surface & Materials Show alongside the design resources studio Material Lab, to showcase the aesthetic and practical advantages of decorative resin flooring solutions for commercial venues.

The Surface & Materials Show, which is part of the UK Construction Week taking place at the NEC Birmingham from October 10-12, provides architects, interior designers, developers and industry professionals with the opportunity to discover cutting edge innovations from the materials sector.

Material Lab is a studio and materials library based in London that was founded to provide the city’s architect community with a one-stop, easy to browse resource to find the surfaces, coatings and finishes required. Flowcrete UK has been a partner of Material Lab’s since 2016 and has had samples of its decorative commercial products on display in the Material Lab showroom since this date.

Flowcrete UK’s range of decorative epoxy flooring solutions are among the materials on display at the Material Lab Hub, stand M400. The Hub has been designed as an informative space and a platform for some of the most exciting materials and surface solutions on the market.

On the stand, visitors will be able to discover systems such as the seamless resin terrazzo range Mondéco, which allows the architect to think of the floor area as one giant canvas on which to create bespoke works of art. This attractive flooring range has been utilised in a number of high-profile projects around the world by architecture firms that include Zaha Hadid, Page/Park Architects and CallisonRTKL. In fact, attendees to the Hub will be among the first to see a brand new addition to the range, the fast curing terrazzo system Mondéco Rapide.

Material Lab’s stand will also be displaying durable and smooth epoxy systems that are ideal for creating large expanses of colourful flooring, the stone carpet systems Rustik and Naturewalk as well as the rapidly curing, vibrant Flowfast range.

Flowcrete UK’s wide variety of resin flooring systems means that there is a pretty and practical solution for any commercial project, regardless of size, aesthetics, installation conditions, budget or operational challenges.

Joining Flowcrete UK at the Material Lab Hub will be brands such as Johnson Tiles, Formica, Buxkin, Sailmaker International and Loco Design. The space will also offer attendees the opportunity to see the Dulux Colour of the Year palette, stunning architectural metal meshes from Amron Associates as well as the latest designs from leading wallpaper and textile designer Kit Miles.
