Flowfresh Makes the Final of Two Industry Awards
14 Jan 2016
- Flowfresh is in the running for two industry awards.
- The hygienic system is HACCP International certified.
- Flowfresh is designed to maintain a clean surface.
Flowfresh is currently in the running for two industry awards thanks to its ability to create a high performance floor that actively minimises contamination and safety risks while facilitating an ultra-hygienic, colourful and effective working environment.
Tomorrow’s Contract Floors and Tomorrow’s Health & Safety have both nominated Flowfresh as one of the top 50 products available to each publications respective market sectors.
The finalists for each award were selected based on the merits, innovativeness or proven durability of the product and by analysing the nominee’s inventiveness, ease of installation, safety, style and sustainability credentials.
Making it into both magazines’ final list is a testament to the effectiveness of Flowfresh and its position within the construction industry as a go-to system to solve a long list of flooring issues, especially within sectors that are sensitive to contamination concerns, such as the food & beverage, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
Flowfresh has been designed to create a floor that can maintain a clean surface despite the most challenging industrial working conditions. The key aspects of this polyurethane system that make it suitable for even the most intensive manufacturing sites is its ability to combine a seamless, impervious and highly durable finish with coving, colours and stainless steel drainage.
To ensure that the floor area minimises the risks from contamination as much as possible, every Flowfresh finish has the antibacterial agent Polygiene® homogenously distributed throughout the polyurethane material, empowering it with the ability to inhibit the growth of most types of harmful bacteria in contact with the floor. This unique formulation has been proven to meet the ISO 22196 standard for measuring the antibacterial effectiveness of plastics and other non-porous surfaces.
Flowcrete UK’s Managing Director, Kevin Potter, said: “Being nominated for both of these awards illustrates Flowfresh’s ability to meet the many complicated, multifaceted flooring demands of large scale, contamination sensitive industrial businesses.
“Flowfresh has been a staple of the construction world, especially in the food and beverage industry, for some time now, however we are not resting on our laurels! To ensure that Flowfresh remains a leader in its field we are constantly developing the range so that it is able to meet the construction industry’s ever-changing needs. For example we will soon be launching a new solution for extremely low temperature environments.”
Flowfresh has garnered a lot of attention over the past year thanks to the range achieving HACCP International certification. This accreditation means that food and beverage brands operating a HACCP Food Safety Management Program can specify Flowfresh, safe in the knowledge that it will meet the regulatory authority’s standards for safe procurement, production and processing as well as the requirements of the world’s leading quality and food safety standards.
If you are interested in finding out more about flooring requirements for the food industry, Flowcrete UK will be attending both Foodex 2016 and the 6th Annual European Food Safety & Quality Summit alongside representatives from HACCP International.
