Flowcrete UK Achieves Investors in People Award

The resin flooring manufacturer Flowcrete UK has been accredited by Investors in People (IIP) for its people management practices and commitment to creating a supportive business environment for its employees.

Flowcrete UK achieved the IIP accreditation, which is valid until 2020, after an extensive online and onsite assessment that involved submitting over 230 documents in order to effectively measure the business against IIP’s nine key indicators. Flowcrete UK has won two IIP awards in the past but this year faced a much more challenging prospect due to the awards framework becoming more complex and demanding.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.

Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Flowcrete UK’s Managing Director, Kevin Potter, said: “Our IIP accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication that the team at Flowcrete UK put in every day to make sure that our business is not only a leader in its field but also that it’s a great place to work.”

Flowcrete Group Ltd.’s HR Manager, Jodie Gilbert, who managed the IIP application process, said: “The plan moving forward is to integrate the framework we developed while undertaking the IIP assessment into our HR & Talent Development Strategy across the Group, and therefore this is a project that our HR Department will continue to lead in helping the business get to the Gold standard in the long-term.

We can’t rest on our laurels however, as not only are we setting our sights ever higher, but we’ll be audited on an annual basis in order to maintain the accreditation.”
