The Co-operative

When the Co-op needed a floor to be installed in record time for the refurbishment of their store in Edinburgh, Flowcrete had the perfect solution with Flowfast Terrosso.

The existing tiled floor looked tired and worn, so work started to transform it with a special blend of flakes to co-ordinate with the Co-op's chosen colour scheme.

The original tiles were prepared using a mechanical diamond grinding machine, then primed and skimmed with standard binder.  SNL filler was used to fill in the grout lines, Flowfast Terrosso laid and three coats of Flowfast Seal completed the finish. 

Alox was added to the mix at the doorways to increase the non-slip properties of the floor system for the safety of the visitors and staff entering the store.

The tiled floor was dated and in need of upgrading - Flowfast Terrosso was the product of choice because it could be installed quickly over the weekend, to get the store up and running again with minimum disruption whilst providing an aesthetically pleasing, seamless floor finish which was hard wearing and would compliment the corporate colours and branding.
