Crystal Leisure Centre

Following on from the successful installation of Peran STB Classic at the Crystal Leisure Centre, Dudley, in 2009, Flowcrete was once again requested to provide a suitable floor coating as part of further refurbishment works over the 2011 Christmas period.

Over 750m² of Peran STB was installed in several areas of the complex including the learning pool surround, which was finished in two contrasting colors as well as the changing/shower rooms and toilets where the floor was laid to falls to ensure effective drainage.  The reception area, adjoining corridors and main pool surround, as well as staircases and bench areas were also given the Peran STB treatment, providing a surface that is both easy to clean and maintain.

The durability and aesthetics of Peran STB provide a functional and decorative seamless solution to the multifunctional facility. Peran STB is an innovative resin floor topping made up of colour stable quartz granules encapsulated in a clear epoxy resin binder. The system can be laid over most existing floor coverings after suitable preparation, therefore reducing the problems associated with the removal and disposal of existing floor finishes.  With the flexibility to alter the slip resistance levels, Peran STB remains a popular choice in wet areas where visitor safety is of understandable importance.
