Toryglen Regional Football Centre

Flowcrete has delivered its unique Floorzone solution to a top scoring sports development based in Toryglen near Hampden Park in Glasgow.

The new £15.7 million facility, which is open to the local community as well as football clubs and associations in and around the greater Glasgow area, represents Scotland's first regional Football Ground and features a full-size indoor synthetic grass pitch - built to FIFA 2 Star standards - with seating for 700 spectators as well as three other outdoor synthetic pitches and one grass pitch.

Flowcrete's innovative Floorzone concept, which includes a fast-drying floor screed overlaid with a decorative resin floor finish, builds up the surface of the floor from substrate to finish. This not only addresses the entire flooring needs of any construction project but offers clients peace of mind under a single-source warranty.

600m2 of Flowcrete's semi-dry cementitious Isocrete K-Screed was first installed at the new centre. Hidden from site, Isocrete K-Screed delivers the necessary sub-floor strength needed in high traffic leisure environments and can be overlaid with a host of floor finishes - including seamless resin.

For the final floor finish 600m2 of Flowcrete's fast flooring concept, Flowfast Quartz, was specified. A seamless MMA resin system, Flowfast Quartz cures at an incredible speed to turn new-build or refurbishment flooring projects around on the fast track. Combined with an adjustable slip-resistance level and inherent antibacterial properties Flowfast is the safe, easily cleaned and hygienic flooring option for public environments.
