Floor to Wall Power

The power of nature has been harnessed to create an eye-catching design theme at a contemporary canal-side bar in the heart of Birmingham.

Pitcher and Piano in Brindley Place has undergone a £400k refurbishment to create a trendy retro bar in the city, which offers a range of services including Internet access and breakfast by the waterside.

In line with the stunning new design, Rustik Natural Stone from Flowcrete, was chosen for the refurbishment project.

Rustik Natural Stone utilises the highest levels of technology to deliver a unique stone finish, which brings the great outdoors to life inside. The product is made up of natural stone or Italian marble, encapsulated in a clear resin matrix.

Used predominantly as a floor finish, the project at Pitcher and Piano involved the installation of Rustik on wall panels around the bar area, reception and staircases.

This is the first of three Pitcher and Pianos where Rustik Natural Stone has been applied on wall areas, with similar installations completed at London's Trafalgar Square and opposite Liverpool Street Station.
