When South Cheshire College started work to replace their existing building with a new state-of-the-art carbon-neutral, environmentally sustainable construction, Flowcrete leaped to the challenge.

The new iconic curve-shaped design is set to lead education in Crewe and Nantwich into a new era; combining extensive social areas with first class education class rooms.

Flowcrete fought off tough competition to win this prestigious project. Following a visit to Flowcrete headquarters in Sandbach, where the client met employees who themselves had previously attended the college; the environmentally friendly, fast track products specified were ideal and the client chose to use our local company.

In pursuit of environmentally sustainable solutions, Isowarm underfloor heating was chosen in the main atria and sports hall. Isowarm provides invisible, controllable heat on demand when and where it is wanted. Delivering economic, environmental and energy savings up to 30% compared to conventional heating systems.

Whilst up to 14,000m² Isocrete K Screed  was used throughout the entire facility, 2000m² of Flowfast Terrosso was installed in the main curved atria and stairwells of the campus, providing a beautiful, seamless resin floor finish ready just 2 hours after application.

Around 2,000m² of resin flooring was installed in just 3 weekends delivering tough floors which embraced and enhanced the aesthetic modern design of this multi-million pound development.
