Doncaster Council

Built to house most of the local authority's services, as well as a purpose built customer service centre, Doncaster Council's new five storey office complex is located in the heart of the Civic and Cultural Quarter of the South Yorkshire town. The new building has strong 'green' credentials featuring the latest environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies.

The client chose to use Flowcrete's Mondéco Mirrazzo flooring system for the new, environmentally friendly offices. Mondéco Mirrazzo is a seamless resin terrazzo, which contains up to 50% recycled glass aggregate.

The Mondéco Mirrazzo system complies with FeRFA Type 8, offering clients excellent durability with an attractive and eye-catching finish.

The 1000m2 installation of Mondéco was completed in conjunction with Flowcrete's in-house Isocrete Project Management service, who were able to create on-site precast units and in situ stair treads and risers. The installation team later returned to the site to patch in floor boxes which were not available at the time of laying the floor.

Flowcrete UK's Mondéco range is available in a wide variety of colours and with an array of decorative aggregates to chose from including mirrored glass, marble and mother of pearl. It's attractive, yet hard-wearing nature makes it ideal for use for use in offices as well as shopping centres and other commercial environments.
